Privacy notice

Comply Standards (“we”) respects your privacy. This notice explains how we handle personal data on this website and when you contact or buy from us. Last updated: 28 September 2026.

What we collect

  • When you contact us or place an order: your name, email, organisation, country and your message. For orders, the billing details you give us.
  • When you browse: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) kept for security. Our analytics, where enabled, are privacy-friendly and cookieless: they count visits without identifying you.
  • We do not buy data, fingerprint devices, or track you across other websites.

The Bench (problem intake)

When you use The Bench we store your description, answers, the estimate inputs you choose, and any documents you upload (PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, PNG or JPG; up to 3 files of 10 MB). Uploaded files are deleted after 90 days, and you can delete your brief, answers and files at any time from the brief page. Where our AI assistant is switched on, your words and document text are sent to an AI model only to prepare your brief (see “AI providers” below).

AI providers

Some features can use an AI model: preparing a Bench brief, a second opinion on how urgently to reply to you, and drafts of our replies and proposals, which a person always reads and edits before anything is sent. We reach models through OpenRouter (a routing service) with providers that retain or train on data excluded, or directly through Anthropic. Only the text needed for the task is sent; it is not used to train models. Each feature can be switched off, and when it is, or when no model is available, our own rules do the work without sending your data anywhere.

How we prioritise enquiries

We give each enquiry a priority (Ready, Evaluating or Exploring) from what you told us, such as what you asked for and whether you mention a deadline, so that we answer the most time-sensitive first. It never decides whether we will work with you or what you pay; a person reads every enquiry and can change its priority. You can ask us why yours was prioritised as it was.

Referral links

If you arrive through an ambassador’s referral link, the referral code is kept in your browser for that visit only (no cookie) and sent with your enquiry or order, so the ambassador who introduced you can be credited. Ambassadors see your name, organisation and the status of your enquiry, not your messages or documents.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, we store your email, when and where you subscribed, and the consent text you agreed to. Nothing is sent until you confirm from the email we send you. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe, and we use no tracking pixels or link tracking in it. When you unsubscribe we keep only a record that you did, so you are never added again by mistake.

Where your visit came from

If you arrive through a link we shared (for example a post of ours), the link names the channel and the article. We keep that label for your visit only (no cookie) and store it with an enquiry you choose to send, so we learn which writing helps.
